FrequentAccount Lockout

Kindly follow the inital troubleshooting steps for account lockout. Follow the SOP for Account Lockout.

Some steps which should be followed..

1). Go to run type control keymgr.dll

hit OK

Delete all the stored username and passwords from the list.

2). Disconnect and reconnect the map drives .

3). open services.msc

check if any of the service have "logon type as" the user

if yes , disable for time being.

4). Open DSA.msc, search user and go to properties.

Click on sessions tab , set time as 1 minutes for end disconnected sessions.

5). Educate the user to log off from the server not to disconnect

6). Make sure user is not logged on to multiple workstations

7). If above steps doesnot work then you can try disable all the 3rd party services using msconfig.

go to run type msconfig.msc

click on services tab , select hide microsoft services.

Make a note of services and settings , disable them.

Resart the computer.

Monitor the user for any lockouts.
